Easter Weekend

Well, I'm actually in Dallas, but more on that later. Last weekend was lots of fun. I got to see Maryanne and AJ once more before they headed off to their cruise! Then I fitted my green dress; it looks great! I'll post when I get pictures after it's altered!

Then Friday I did some errands, saw Michael Bean and met his girlfriend Alyssa. Then I saw an old friend from AWANA camp, Holly. It was so good to see her and catch up a bit! How we've changed and yet stayed the same. =)

Tobin was done with his week of crazy tests!!! YEAH!!! So we headed up together to Trout Lake. We got to go cross country skiing and even convinced Darrol that he could use skis and poles instead of engines and sleds.

Easter Sunday was great and a very encouraging message at fellowship. We got up early for the sunrise service, which still had some snow on the ground (in the trees), then a good breakfast and seeing some old friends at Trout Lake School.

Tobin and I then left for the long trek home, but made a great stop in Salem to see Andy, Ruth and the kids! Tobin especially wanted to see them because it had "just been too long."

So that's the update for now. More later. =)

The Future May be Sparce

Well "my faithful blog subscribers"-
Don't miss me too much but I am joining what seems like "Oliver's Travels." So thus, my posting may get somewhat sparse, but I'll try! Tomorrow evening I leave for Salem. Friday, I will be doing several errands and seeing some friends as I (and you too please) pray for Tobin as he takes his several difficult exams! Then I'll meet him when he is done, and we'll travel up to Trout Lake for Easter Weekend. Then home Sunday night, for two days of work. Then we leave in the wee hours on Wednesday for Dallas, TX for Convocation. I'll be there two days and then will travel back to Portland for my two best friends baby showers. Then I'll be home for a regular work week, and actually travel back up to Salem (on the first weekend in April if you've lost track) to seem my parents and familky. So there you have it, and why I may be absent for a little while. But I promise pictures when I get a chance. =)

Feelin' Lazy...

Today I've 1) completely cleaned the kitchen because we had ants everywhere! Monday, I'm going to call the landlord and see if they can really fix the problem. But at least for now they are tamed. 2) Done all the laundry. 3) Vacuumed our apartment 4) Organized and cleaned the apartment 5) Packed and said goodbye to Tobin for a week 6) Updated our budget. But I still feel lazy because I still am in fleece pants. I was going to exercise today, but I'm just not motivated. So there you have it, I'm just making this blog to justify that I have done quite a few things today, and I deserve a day off after working 5 days in a row last week Tues-Sat. Being a medical provider and making all those decisions each patient visit and the calls, etc, wears you out! Just think, I saw roughly 100 patients last week, answers numerous questions from the nurses and staff. So all in all I might have made 300 clinical decisions, and some of those were in a different language so I get extra credit. Whew! That'll make you tired. =)

So enjoying a "lazy day."
I'll run tomorrow....

More of my cute niece and nephew!

I went to Salem last weekend again. And Maryanne and I got a chance to visit with Andy and the kids. Zoey was unfortunately in bed, but we had some fun playing on Andy's new Wii that he got for his birthday! Grace beat us all at bowling! And Andy showed us the crazy new Mario Galaxy! Crazy new technology! When I was a kid I had reused blocks and broken toys. ;)

I Got It!

Well, I have more "avid" blog readers than I thought. Thanks everyone for you help and suggestions...I probably should have asked for it sooner! Anyways, I got the dress that is pictured! It's really fun, and I'm going to alter it so that it is all the same length, like a tea length dress (I wonder why it's called Tea Length anyways, well I'll leave that up to one of my "avid" blog readers to answer!). I'm going next weekend to get it altered, so maybe I'll post a picture with me in the dress! =) Thanks everyone!

The Illusive Green Dress...

My sister-in-law is getting married, YEAH! And she's asked me to be in the wedding. Well, the stipulation on the bridesmaid dresses is simple...."any green dress that is not hunter or forest green." So being me and loving the color green I was stoked I could pick it out! But it's harder than you first might imagine. Today, I thought I would exhaust all the department and bridal stores and see what I came up with. And I found 1) A very rude and inconsiderate staff at one store 2) A creepy old man and just me ALONE in a very SMALL store (I didn't stay long) 3) this nice, sincere lady who was much too opinionated for me. 4) Department stores don't have the dress I want in my size....it's not made! I guess you can say I haven't had the best luck. So I thought I might open it up to my "faithful blog readers" (I don't think I have that many), but if any of you see a cute grass, bright green dress preferably in size 2, let me know!
I do have one possibility (pictured on the Left); let me know what you think. I have to go up to Salem this weekend to try it on in a different color and then order if I like it. So keep your fingers crossed that it's a winner because I'm running out of time (the wedding is in May) But this is definitely the type of color I'm looking for....so if anyone has suggestions please don't hesitate.
Oh and I'm feeling much better by the way. Still coughing up a little nasty yellow/white stuff occasionally, but overall much, much improved. Although, I tried to go running today, and let's just say it was a run/walk for 30 minutes and it almost killed me. Hopefully, I can build my strength back up, but it's just depressing when I was running 80 minutes no problem just 2 weeks ago!

Sick Again...

I can't believe that something so tiny has taken a hold of me again! This time I think it must be a strong virus because I feel dreadfully awful and completely out of energy. I empathize with anyone and wish I could cure it, but hence I still cannot. And even the health providers get sick! This crazy virus has made my head feel like 40 pounds, and I think I've blown that much out in snot too! You would think my head would be empty, but my ears are still plugged and I only breath in a little air in my right nostril! Thankfully, I made it through most of the week until I really felt run down. Today, I'm sitting at home, watching a few movies and reading a book. Tobin is working at the hospital and my pathetic sick self can't even get up to go outside! I hate feeling this way because I usually am so active! Well, may I ask you to pray for me. Being sick though, sure has made me want to pray more for others that I know of that are suffering illness or dreadful diseases. My cold is really nothing, but it still doesn't mean I feel like doing much. Oh well, I hope to conquer that crazy virus that multiplies and uses my body as a host! And I hope to stay healthy after I get better from this virus!!!! I mean it's the first day of March, almost spring time! I shouldn't be sick. =)
