Update
Just to give you an update on Tobin's knee...good and bad news. Good news no ligament or meniscus was torn or injured (from what the MRI showed). But bad news means that there really isn't a cut and dry answer-which is honestly what medicine usually is. So right now, no surgery (unless we want to do an "exploratory" surgery, which doesn't sound like much fun). So right now Tobin is trying some osteopathic medicine and we'll see how that goes with time. Hopefully it's been feeling a bit better because he spent the last few days walking in an airport, going to Little Rock, and walking around in an Osteopathic Conference. He gets home tonight...YEAH!! Bum Knee
Tobin has struggled with pain in his right knee for quite a while, and we have been planning on getting it checked by getting xray and or MRI. Well, the doctor's appointment was scheduled for Monday (tomorrow) and on Friday, at one of Tobin's soccer games, he decided it was time to try and injure it more. Obviously, I'm speaking facetiously here, he accidentally injured it. I was actually at the game, but missed the play. I was talking with one of the other wives that was there watching the game. Anyways, I looked up to see that they were helping Tobin hobble off the field. Not to get you all worried, he's doing a bit better, and thankfully the knee has gotten a little better over the weekend. I've been trying to help him out, but it's hard to help a gimp that doesn't want any help. =) We were planning on doing some more fun activities this weekend, but since the knee injury...Tobin took the opportunity to study for a test he has to take this coming Friday. I think God wanted to make sure he could only study and not get distracted! So here we are...we'll see what the doctor says (if you ask the doctors in the house we think he may have tore the medial meniscus just slightly in his knee). But really we probably need some imagining studies. You could be praying for that and for Tobin's exam on Friday!
In So Cal, You do as the Californians....SURF!
Yes, surfing. Tobin and his coworker (Brian) had Friday off. So off to Huntington Beach, Bolsa Chica Beach, we went. Brian supplied us with all the equipment! Boards and wet suits (otherwise I would have froze and not even wanted to go in the water). Even though it's Southern California, it's still the same cold Pacific Ocean! I seem to always get rocked by the waves, instead of me rocking the waved...if you know what I mean! The day was full of trying to catch waves, watching dolphins just off shore glide gracefully through the waves, and me enjoying some rays on the beach (my little white body probably emits enough reflection to light all of LA).
Pigeon Feeder
We finally purchased bird seed for our wild bird feeder, that we had received as a wedding present from our great professor Dwight Kimerberly and had never used! I've seen some cute birds out there, nothing too exotic, but nice- house finches, scrub jays, and other LBBs (little brown birds). Well, I was standing at the kitchen sink, looked out at the bird feeder and saw this:
The little scavengers! They bullied all the little birds away. I quickly stepped out my front door to hear the deep sounds of their wings take off in flight. The flew only to the nearest
telephone pole line, where they greedily looked back wanting more and just waiting for a chance when I wasn't looking. Since then I've seen them back a couple times, but I think they may be starting to become intimidated by some crazy redhead. I really think we need to hang it up somewhere instead so this big birds can't easily get at the food. Tobin may be a bird lover, but this is a bit much!

Doe, Rey, Me, Fa, So, La, Te, Doe
Yes, I'm singing once again. I've joined our church choir, and I really am enjoying using my musical side once again. This Sunday was the first Sunday I was actually not working and could make it to church and sing in the choir. We sang "God Shall Wipe Away All Tears." It went pretty well, I hope. =) So I'll be practicing with them every Wednesday evening. We're really practicing for Easter Sunday, right now, so that's a lot of fun. Anyways, it's nice for me to kind of plug in and meet a few people, and enjoy the gift of music God has given me (though I definitely still would never be a soloist, I can contribute to the choir as a whole)! No photos, but I sport a very stylish blue robe....well, I may not be in it for the attire, I am in it for the worship and praise we give to God with our voice. And that's what the choir is called, "With One Voice."
