While he's gone I'm going to be busily working the two jobs I have now. I finally finalized my position as an NP working in the hospital with a hospitalist. It's going really well, I'm enjoying it, and I'm learning lots. Going from outpatient to inpatient is different, challenging, and rewarding at the same time. Right now I am working as an NP part-time, so right now I'm also working as an RN on the same med/surg floor I was on before. It's funny because I work 2 very different roles in the same hospital. I've joked with people that my twin is working on the other day. And one day one of the physicians that works there made a comment that she saw my twin the other day (she must not have had enough coffee to recognize that I was the exact same person). I also joke that I'm going to develop some personality disorder, schizoaffective disorder or something. Because one day I'm give orders and then next day I'm taking orders. Oh well, keeps me on my toes and those around me!
Well, that's about it for now. The Rummel Road news is just that the Road had placed us apart for awhile. I know that God has His plans and I'm completely at peace knowing that He is in the driver's seat and placing us where we need to be at. In about two weeks, I get to go on the "road" that is in the air and fly to Pennsylvania to visit Sarah and take care of Campbell while Sarah is in class, then I get to travel to Nashville, visit old nursing school friends and go to an NP conference. I'm excited! It'll help keep me distracted from missing Tobin, but I will still miss him!
Christy, congrats on your NP. I didn't know you had finished. That's cool you're working at the with the hospitalist with inpatients. That sounds interesting to me. The NP jobs That sounds around here are mostly outpatient office stuff. Wierd that you work 2 different roles in the same place! When will you start getting more hours as a NP? What are your reasons for getting your NP? Did you always know that you wanted to do that? Sorry that Tobin's gone for awhile. I hope it goes quickly for you.
