Porter Everett John DeBacker

I'm back from my visit up North....and oh what fun it was. My new nephew is definitely very special and very loved. He is doing well and doing all the baby things: eating, burping, sleeping, pooping, and growing..all that you can ask for in a newborn. He also has some of the funniest expressions while he is sleeping and when he is awake he's starting to show some smiles and personality. For sure the kid isn't starving for affection with Maryanne's in-laws very close by and all of their friends and even Miller kids in Salem...this kid will be having lots of fun as he grows and grows!

Already looking pretty handsome at 3 weeks old

Out for a walk in the sunshine and the Mobi...it's so comfortable I'd definitely recommend it if you are having a baby!

Just before leaving for a walk.

My Mom made these for Maryanne and I had to try it out too! They work so great Mom!

I inspired Maryanne that she can do so many more things and Porter loves being snuggled!

I was also able to visit Andy, Ruth and their kids. We had yummy chicken K-bobs and fun time hanging out a little bit. I played with the kids outback and that was much fun!

Here's Zoey goofing around on the piano

Then we decided to Skype Grandma Miller. That was a lot of fun, and funny to watch as Zoey was a bit confused as to why "Gamma" was on the computer screen. She kept trying to get close to the computer screen and kiss Gamma and say hello.

Zoey is a cute little fireball. She is so curious and full of energy. Here's a rare occassion, but a sign that she's slowing down and might be ready to actually rest. =)

This is from our little photo shoot near the end of my visit. Here you can see Ellie wanted to be in the photo too! And Porter is very intent on looking at Ellie!

Easter - Christ is Risen Indeed!

This Easter Season was special because I was able to be involved in the music (of which I haven't done for quite some time). We sang some songs that really help reflect and give God the glory. One of my favorites, "There is a Redeemer" we sang acapella and that was a lot of fun. Tobin enjoyed supporting and cheering me and the choir on. I think all the practices and hard work paid off.

After Sunday Service, Tobin thought it was a beautiful day to go for a bike ride. So off we went. There is a fun fairly easy and flat bike trail. We rode it from our place East to Rancho Cucamonga and the 15 (you can look at it on the map if you really want to). Anyways, we came back and rewarded ourselves with yummy frozen yogurt. Friends from the church have raved about this yogurt place, so we thought we'd try it out. It was good! We had Pomegranate, Kiwi, and Taro (which is) with fresh pineapple topping. It was great! One of my new favorites, next to Cold Stone. But Tobin and I determined you just can't compare frozen yogurt and Cold Stone Ice Cream...both yummy for different occasions.
